Synopsis
A grieving therapist begins to tell his clients exactly what he thinks
Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge changes in people’s lives, including his own.. Cast of Shrinking; share their top character-defining moments from Season 1 and reveal who does the best Harrison Ford impression.. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show , Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type”; and he was going to hear people like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that he had to at least pitch it to Ford first, thinking he would immediately turn it down, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had been brought into the project, generating interest from other major actors.
The acting was great
Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him on the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was still excited.. Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). This was a solid production and a very unique story.
Is it perfect?
I love how each character embraces their imperfections and shows vulnerability and uses humor to grow spiritually. Shrinking has plenty of heartfelt moments, awkward moments, cute mildly funny moments, and laugh-out-loud moments. I hope they continue to make additional seasons of this because the character development warrants it. Not.
But none of us
I think the overuse of profanity takes away from the overall power potential here. It’s almost like the writers are forcing the show to be edgy. I personally don’t think it was necessary. That’s why I gave it an 8.
